2008 honda shadow spirit vt750c2

well outlaws, I made a deal with a local man for a 2008 Honda 750 shadow spirit, silver in color. needs some '' shadetree '' touch ?, but nothing big. gotta replace the mufflers, headlight bucket ( or all of the headlight ? ), buy new tires ( these were made in 2014 ), i'd give her a 8 out of 10. little over 27k miles. i'll post some pics of her sunday. I found this on CL's, man had it listed for 2700, we did some talking, he came down to 2400, told him I could pay 2200, he passed, I countered him, said meet me in the middle, 2300 ?, he agreed, I went and bought it !. it's been down for sure, I can tell from the gas tank work ( its not perfect ), but still..i am very happy with it !. I need to clean off my carport, then i'll get some good pics of her :-).

My wife and youngest son both have Shadow 750 bikes - 2002 and 2004 models. The 2002 is a Spirit model and had a bad fuel pump and my son has dinged that fuel tank twice. I'm getting very good at fixing fuel tanks here. I also struggle to find neutral on both of these bikes. My wife never rides hers anymore and we really should sell it.

Shade . . . if you are going to ride much on the street these days . . . buy a headlight modulator to upgrade your visibility to the cagers and keep them from pulling out in front of you. This "Pathblazer" device from Kisan Technologies is without a doubt one of the best things I have ever purchased for a motorcycle and has likely saved my life countless times.

At $129.95 (price varies), it is worth it at double the cost. I no longer feel like I'm invisible to the other drivers on the road.

nah, it needs some new mufflers ( these have some road rash ), and I want to replace the headlight bucket and trim, and later I will replace the fuel tank. other than these items ?, it is in very nice shape for 9 years old. i'll post some pics here soon :-).

update: got my '' new '' to me, like brand new exhaust system dropped off today by ups, was shocked they run on Saturday's ?..hmm..anyway..these normally sell for $ 1,0050.00 ( give or take )..but I found them on CL's down in GA from a man that sounded like he's about 70 years old ? ( we spoke on the phone for a bit ), he was asking $ 150.00 !!!!, the story that his ad read, he bought the bike from another guy, that guy bought a brand new 2009 Honda vt750c2 shadow spirit right off the show room floor, had them remove the exhaust, and put after market pipes on it. well, the guy that bought the bike that I got these from was given the oem pipes, he had them in in his attic all these years !, put them up for sale on CL's for $ 150.00. soooo..i contacted him, asked him what he would sell them shipped to me ?, he told me $ 200.00 bucks, and they are yours, would love to see them go to good use..just...WOW !!!. his ad said they sell new from Honda well over 1k ( which I already knew ! ), but wanted to sell them to someone that could use them..yep..you guessed it...ME !!..LOL. just freaking outstanding from the way they look..they don't have any soot in them at all ??!!..they deff are brand new !!!. even bad pipes on ebay were close to 300 bucks, and no where as good as this set..holy crap...I hit the mother load on this deal !. I also replaced the headlight the other day ( new from Honda )..that ran me 260, but worth it. main thing I got to replace..but not in a hurry..is my gas tank, gonna put a new tank on her, as this one wasn't fixed right from who ever worked on the damage from going down. anyway, here is a couple pics of the pipes I got today :-).
